There isn't a place in Argentina that Aerolineas Argentinas couldn't take you to see some of the country's great landmarks.
Of course, there are so many of these great sights that you'd probably break the frequent flier bank getting to them all.
For now, here are three terrific landmarks in the country that you should see on a visit.
* The Buenos Aires Obelisk. Putting aside for a second its sheer size, The Obelisk is certainly the most visible landmark in Buenos Aires, arguably the most famous in the entire country, and definitely beloved by its people, who often use it to display public messages. Resembling the Washington Monument, the Buenos Aires Obelisk is 220 feet tall and was built in 1936 to help celebrate the 400th anniversary of the city. Remarkably, the construction took a month. Literally - 31 days. The Obelisk is also in an interesting location. Not only is it in the heart of the city, but it is at the intersection two of the world's largest, widest streets. Put it this way: going to Buenos Aires without taking a photo in front of The Obelisk is like going to Sin City and not taking a photo at the 'Welcome to Las Vegas, Nevada' sign.

* Mount Fitz Roy. Located in the Patagonia region of Argentina, the jagged peak is more than 11,000 feet tall. Its peak is quite often shaded in cloud cover, which would make sense since the original name, "Chaltén," is translated as "smoking mountain" by the Tehuelche tribe. Its name today is a nod to Sir Robert FitzRoy, the British sailor who took Charles Darwin on a trip to South America. This isn't for the faint of heart, though. Experts say if you want to hike its trails, it's best to book a guided hike.
* Iguazu National Park. Talk about your natural wonders. Iguazu National Park is the second largest national park in Argentina - and to put that into context, Argentina is the eighth biggest country in the world and its land mass takes up almost half of the South American continent. More importantly Iguaza National Park is home to one of the most incredible waterfalls in the world, the Iguazu Waterfall. Simply put, it is breathtaking. In fact, it isn't just a waterfall. There are more than 250 waterfalls in the park of varying sizes. Definitely a must-see.
