The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) continues to set records in 2024. On Sunday July 7, the TSA screened over 3 million passengers for the first time ever.

Also last week, the latest Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) numbers show that flight cancellation rates are decreasing for the first half of 2024. The data on the year so far shows just 1.4 cancellation rate, which is nearly the lowest rate in over a decade.

Additionally, the FAA recently announced tons on money pouring in to improve airport infrastructure. This includes $289 million in airport infrastructure grants in 40 states and an additional $1 billion in available funding to modernize airport terminals.

President Joe Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is providing an investment of $25 billion in U.S. airport infrastructure over five years.

Air travel is improving in a number of ways. Yes, more and more people are flying, and the crowds can make things hectic. The continued Boeing scandal news is not great either.

However, the upgrades and enhancements have begun, and more are on their way to make the air travel experience better. How many of you have been through the new TSA scanners where you don't have to take your laptop out? Those will soon become the norm.

There are positive signs for the air travel industry just about everywhere you look. Currently, there are over 200 airport modernization projects taking place.

How excited are you about the future of air travel?
