New York City's Times Square is one of three tourist attractions in the United States to make the top 10 in terms of popularity increase on Pinterest (up 30 percent). As the Big Apple bounces back post-pandemic, more and more travelers are showing interest in the bustling Midtown Manhattan neighborhood and entertainment hub.

Just a few miles away in New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, a gift from the people of France, has seen a significant 32 percent increase in popularity on Pinterest. While Times Square and the Statue of Liberty are trending up, New York City's Central Park is among the attractions waning in terms of popularity, recording a 10 percent decrease in the past year.

Another beloved stop in the state of New York, Niagara Falls narrowly edges out Times Square and the Statue of Liberty with a Pinterest popularity increase of 33 percent over the last year.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site and Jordan's most-visited attraction, Petra is up 36 percent in terms of Pinterest searches in the past 12 months. The historically and culturally significant city hosts approximately 1 million tourists each year and was named one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

Incredibly, the top three tourist attractions increasing in popularity the most are located in France. According to Bounce's research, Disneyland Paris theme park has seen its Pinterest Index Score increase by a whopping 40 percent over the past year.

Paris' iconic Eiffel Tower has seen its searches on Pinterest increase by 48 percent in the last 12 months. Constructed in the late 19th century for the 1889 World's Fair, the famous landmark soars more than 1,000 feet above the ground and was the tallest building in the world until 1930.

Elsewhere in France, the Palace of Versailles has seen its searches on Pinterest increase by 56 percent over the past year. Also known as Château de Versailles, the palace was built as a hunting lodge by King Louis XIII in the 17th century.
