Officials from the Disneyland Resort announced several new
and tasty updates from the Downtown Disney District.
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen had been a staple of the
district for more than two decades, but the property has evolved with a fresh look,
new name and updated menu. Now known as Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio
and Beignets Expressed, the location is celebrating its reopening.
The restaurant’s all-day menu features long-time fan
favorites alongside new selections, with the contemporary menu pairing
perfectly with an expanded wine list from California vintners, and seasonal,
seaside-style cocktails.
As for the Beignets Expressed shop, guests will experience a
fast, friendly and fun counter-service spot, combining the much-loved New
Orleans confection served classically or with a Disney twist. Glazed Beignet
flavors include Snickerdoodle, Fruity Crunch and Bananas Foster.
For visitors looking for Nashville hot chicken on a stick, Clyde’s
Hot Chicken cart is now located near the Disneyland Monorail and offers handmade
chicken made fresh daily in three different heat level seasonings.
A new location is also coming to the courtyard next to
Splitsville Luxury Lanes, dubbed The Alley. Mixing interactive games, live
music, lounge areas and seats for dining, the new location will open to the
public later this summer.
Disney Home and WonderGround Gallery have also recently
reopened with unique selections of Disney decor, while Lovepop offers 3D pop-up
cards and Pele Soccer offers soccer gear and apparel.
Additional plans for the district also include the addition
of world-renowned Chinese restaurant Din Tai Fung, Mexican cuisine by
Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytan at Paseo and Centrico and California-Cuban
cheese rolls and pastries from Porto’s Bakery and Cafe.
