The Walt Disney World Resort unveiled plans for Hispanic and
Latin American Heritage Month, featuring entertainment, character appearances,
music, and merchandise across the theme park.
The celebration of Hispanic and Latin American heritage has
been dubbed “Together We Are Magia,” and runs through October 15.
The festivities include special programming at EPCOT, where
visitors can see ¡Celebración Encanto! featuring characters from Disney’s
“Encanto.”
Several Latin acts are scheduled to perform during EPCOT’s
Eat to the Beat Concert Series, including Latin Ambition, Grupo Mania, Metro
Latino Band, Rey Ruiz, and Viva Latina on select dates through October 11.
Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi also recently joined the
Disney celebration at the theme park, meeting characters and experiencing
attractions.
Magic Kingdom is also participating through the Disney
Adventure Friends Cavalcade, which features Mirabel from “Encanto,” Miguel from
“Coco,” Princess Elena of Avalor, José Carioca, Panchito, and other Disney
characters.
In addition, guests staying at Disney World Resort hotels
can also find Hispanic and Latin American-inspired storytelling, music, dance,
and films during select Movies Under the Stars experiences.
