Just a short drive north from Palm Beach, Fla., along the banks of the St. Lucie River lies the United States' only Club Med-the all-inclusive Club Med Sandpiper Bay.

Accommodations: Sandpiper Bay has 337 rooms spread out across seven, 2-story buildings situated along the picturesque banks of the St. Lucie River. Rooms are divided into two classes, Deluxe and Club. Deluxe rooms offer both family and interconnecting rooms. The latter are ideal for families with young children as little ones can be tucked happily in bed while their parents stay up to relax, enjoy a bottle of wine and plan for the next day's adventure. Like the Deluxe rooms, Club level rooms offer a choice of family or interconnecting accommodations, in addition to a spacious seating area and dressing room. All Club rooms feature a furnished terrace or balcony overlooking the St. Lucie River.

Sports & Activities. Active families that want to further their sports skills will want to take advantage of the Club Med Academies that are on offer at Sandpiper Bay. Participants can receive world-class instruction from professional coaches in tennis, golf, fitness and beach volleyball. But maybe the most fun of all-there's a Flying Trapeze Academy with instruction in circus activities! Tennis fans will delight in the resort's 20 courts, and golf buffs will be spoilt for choice with an on-site 18-hole course and the option of playing any of the 15 courses nearby. Other sports included as part of any stay are basketball, water polo, stand-up paddle boarding, aquaZumba and sailing.
Dining. With three restaurants on site, even the pickiest eater will have more than enough from which to choose. The Marketplace restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and features a wide selection of international fare. There's even a baby corner where parents can prepare meals for the youngest members of the family. Soleil's gourmet offerings are only enhanced by its waterfront location. The Riverside Grill & BBQ offers local specialties and American fare, as well a selection of gourmet dishes including lobster tail. Each Sunday, it plays host to an outdoor BBQ with grilled meats and tasty sides.

Wellness Center: Take a voyage to the heart of Provence at the first L'Occitane-branded spa in the country-Club Med Spa L'Occitane. The spa's skilled practitioners and beauty therapists offer more than 30 treatments from facials and massages to wraps, scrubs and slimming therapies that are grounded in both modern and traditional healing techniques. Following a treatment, guests can continue to relax in the spa's Zen garden.
Kids and Teen Programs. No matter your child's age, Sandpiper Bay has something to delight and entertain. Parents can relax at the spa or take in a class, while their little ones at Bab Club Med (from 4 to 23 months) engage in games and activities all geared to entertain while simultaneously promoting learning and motor skills. Petit Club Med (for ages 2 to 3 years old) offers plenty of outdoor space so toddlers can run and play to their heart's content. Mini Club Med is designed for those 4 to 10 years old and provides activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, sports, dance and group games. Club Med Passworld is geared to the older child (11 to 17 years old). Here, teens can take part in a range of activities from sailing lessons to performing, from hiking and camping to classes in make-up and beauty. Special evening activities include movie night, a beach party and shows geared just for them.
