Gain Expertise as a Destinations Specialist on Hawaii

There is nothing more relaxing than an island vacation and Hawaii has it all for your clients. Seaside golf courses, luxury hotels, tranquil spas, well-equipped condos, and adventurous excursions are at visitors' fingertips when they travel to the Islands. The Hawaii Destination Specialist Program shares with advisors how to put all of these elements together to craft the ideal vacation. 

Travel advisors can build their knowledge through the course with two levels of certification. Level one is an in-depth introduction to the Islands and level two is a roadmap for selling vacations. Completion of level one gives advisors their Destination Specialist Certificate.

To become a destination expert, travel advisors complete level two of the course, which is focused on each individual island. Once advisors complete the training for one island they earn an Island Specialist Certificate and, when all islands are complete, they earn the Hawaii Destination Expert title.

Travel advisors can earn the title of Master Specialist when they complete all of the levels. 

The first part of the course is an overview of the islands. There are six chapters that contain information on geography, weather, activities, attractions, history, culture and events and festivals. 

The second part of the course is focused on selling. This helps travel advisors with a roadmap for how to construct a Hawaii vacation. 

Four additional courses focus on individual island regions. This is where travel advisors can earn individual island certification such as an Oahu Specialist, Maui Nui Specialist Kauai Specialist or Hawaii Specialist.
