9 Places to Chow Down During NYC Restaurant Week

NYC Restaurant Week

1/10
NYC Restaurant Week returns July 23 through August 17. More than 380 restaurants across all five boroughs are participating this summer, including at least two dozen newcomers. Reservations are now open but if you're not sure where to start, consider beginning your culinary journey through New York City with special offers at some of these stellar restaurants.

Bar Primi

2/10
If you find yourself in the mood for some world-class pasta, head to Bar Primi in the East Village. The house-made pasta dishes use non-GMO flours and organic eggs and guests will also find an affordable selection of Italian country wines to pair alongside them.

Mission Chinese Food

3/10
Mission Chinese Food is guaranteed to take your taste buds on a delightful ride with one-of-a-kind dishes like kung pao pastrami and sea urchin with squid ink naan. Already boasting locations in Manhattan's Lower East Side and San Francisco, Mission Chinese will open a third location in Brooklyn this summer.

Augustine

4/10
Head to Lower Manhattan's Augustine for some of the best French-inspired cuisine anywhere in the Big Apple. Highlights of the Brasserie-style restaurant include the whiskey burger, which comes with Comte cheese, Scotch-braised onions and a shot of whiskey.

Delmonico's Restaurant

5/10
This old-school steakhouse is a New York City institution that's credited with inventing classic dishes such as eggs Benedict, lobster Newberg and baked Alaska. America's original fine dining restaurant dates back to 1837 but thankfully hasn't lost an ounce of its charm.

Claudette

6/10
A popular spot for lunch and dinner not far from Washington Square Park in the Greenwich Village neighborhood, Claudette specializes in Mediterranean-accented French dishes that are complemented by a bright and inviting space.

Catch NYC

7/10
This contemporary American seafood restaurant can be found in Manhattan's Meatpacking District, where Top Chef season 3 winner and executive chef Hung Huynh is serving up mouth-watering signature dishes such as Salmon Belly Carpaccio, Bourbon-Miso Black Cod Lettuce Wraps, Cantonese Lobster and the Crispy Whole Red Snapper for two.

Beauty & Essex

8/10
Like its name suggests, Beauty & Essex is among the city's most visually appealing restaurants. However, celebrity chef Chris Santos' signature menu won't disappoint either, boasting international small plates, dry-aged steaks, raw bar offerings and decadent desserts.

Nougatine at Jean-Georges

9/10
This French restaurant attached to Jean-Georges in Trump Tower on the Upper West Side is ideal for travelers on a tight budget. Nougatine offers a fresh three-course lunch six days a week for less than $25.
