Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, travelers can still look forward to experiencing a plethora of new hotels across the country in the coming months. Late 2020 and early 2021 will be a busy period for marquee openings. Here are a few of the highly anticipated new properties set to open their doors.

Hotel Haya, Tampa, Florida

Located in Tampa's historic Ybor City, the newly-opened Hotel Haya pays homage to the Golden Age of Havana, Cuba. The 178-room property was designed by Alfonso Architects Incorporated and features a culinary program led by award-winning Chef Douglas Rodriguez.

Luminary Hotel & Co, Fort Myers, Florida

Downtown Fort Myers' River District welcomed the Luminary Hotel & Co. this fall. The 243-room waterfront property boasts a half-dozen food and beverage venues, including the signature Silver King Ocean Brasserie and the Beacon Social Drinkery rooftop lounge. Other highlights include an indoor and outdoor fitness center, a pool overlooking the Caloosahatchee River and 10,000 square feet of adaptable events space.

Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero, California

The new Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero opened in the Bay Area this October. Offering 155 redesigned rooms and suites, the hotel comprises the top 11 floors of the 48-story California Center in San Francisco's Financial District, providing guests with stellar views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.

Surety Hotel, Des Moines, Iowa

The Aparium Hotel Group's 137-room Surety Hotel will open in Des Moines, Iowa on November 11, 2020. Designed by DLR Group and Slingshot Architecture, the unique hotel will showcase the destination's rich banking history and overlooked arts scene with rotating exhibitions.

Azure Palm Hot Springs Resort & Day Spa, California

The Azure Palm Hot Springs Resort & Day Spa will make its much-anticipated debut in Southern California this November with more than three dozen inviting suites offering an array of amenities, including private mineral spring tubs and balconies with epic views of the surrounding mountains.

The Westin Anaheim Resort, Anaheim, California

The AAA Four-Diamond Westin Anaheim Resort will open near Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park this winter. Future guests can look forward to an array of dining options as well as a rooftop bar with awesome views of Disney's fireworks. This fall's opening will mark Westin's first in Southern California in the past quarter-century.

The Beatrice, Providence, Rhode Island

Located in a historic building in Providence's Westminster neighborhood, The Beatrice is a 47-room luxury boutique hotel scheduled to open in December 2020. One of the property's many highlights will include an exclusive rooftop bar and restaurant.

Montage Healdsburg, Healdsburg, California

The 258-acre Montage Healdsburg will open with 130 luxurious bungalow-style guestrooms and suites in coveted Northern California wine country in late 2020. In addition to access to tremendous vineyards, guests can recharge in the yoga garden and enjoy treatments at the 11,500-square-foot Spa Montage. The resort is now accepting reservations from December 26, 2020 on.

Fairmont Century Plaza, Century City, California

The Fairmont Century Plaza will immerse guests in a "city-within-a-city" atmosphere when it opens just west of Hollywood in Century City, California this winter. The hotel, which will include a gourmet cafe, a French brasserie, a rooftop bar, a pool and a 14,000-square-foot spa, is currently accepting reservations for December 8, 2020 and beyond.

Daxton Hotel, Birmingham, Michigan

The 151-room Daxton Hotel will open just a short drive from Detroit in quaint Birmingham, Michigan in January 2021. The property will feature plenty of colors as well as art curated by world-famous Saatchi Art. Guests can also enjoy "enlightened American" dishes at Madam.

Jasper Hotel, Fargo, North Dakota

The Jasper Hotel will open with 125 rooms in Fargo's burgeoning downtown market. The property takes inspiration from the region's rich Norwegian heritage. For example, the on-site restaurant Rosewild will serve rustic Nordic dishes while the bar will feature classic cocktails with Nordic-midwestern touches.

Marriott Dallas Uptown, Dallas, Texas

Conveniently located in Dallas' trendy Uptown neighborhood, the 255-room Marriott Dallas Uptown is slated for a February 2021 opening. Notable features will include 13,000 square feet of meeting space and a restaurant and a rooftop pool deck. The hotel will also be within walking distance of numerous attractions such as the Katy Trail, the Dallas Arts District and dozens of bars and restaurants.

Pendry West Hollywood, California

Pendry will make its Los Angeles debut in early 2021 with the arrival of the Pendry West Hollywood on the famous Sunset Strip. Currently accepting reservations for January 3, 2021 and beyond, the hotel will feature a rooftop pool, a members-only social club, live entertainment and food and beverage venues designed by legendary chef Wolfgang Puck.

Thompson San Antonio Hotel and The Arts Residences, Texas

Set to open along the San Antonio River Walk in early 2021, the $116 million Thompson San Antonio Hotel and The Arts Residences will offer 162 guestrooms as well as an on-site restaurant, a rooftop bar with panoramic views, a 5,000 square-foot pool deck with pool bar, a fitness center, spa and 24-hour concierge.

Hacienda Hotel - New Port Richey, FL

Originally built and opened to the public in 1927 for around $100,000, the historic Hacienda Hotel was once well-known to celebrities but hasn't actually had guests in years. But work is currently underway to restore and resurrect the downtown crown jewel. Following the completion of an estimated $6 million renovation project, the historically preserved building will be transformed into a 40-room boutique hotel overlooking the scenic Pithlachascotee river. Nestled in heart of charming New Port Richey, and on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel looks to welcome its first guests in more than 30 years by the end of 2020.
