Signature Travel Network is expanding its investment in advisor education and professional development by adding ASTA’s Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) Fast Track program to its network.
The “VTA Fast Track” program offers a streamlined path for advisors to earn their VTA certification via on-site training at ASTA Travel Advisor Conferences. The training program includes four core courses covering legal insights, ethics, agency relationships, and compliance, along with a final exam.
ASTA’s certification is meant to show that travel advisors who have completed the program are committed to being a conscientious and ethical advisors.
“ASTA’s VTA credential sets the industry standard for professionalism, knowledge and ethical business practices,” said Zane Kerby, President and CEO of ASTA.
In July, more than 200 Signature advisors participated in ASTA’s first virtual VTA Fast Track training. The four-hour session covered the full curriculum from ASTA’s core VTA courses, along with two in-depth ethics case studies designed to apply the program’s principles to real-world situations.
More than 100 Signature advisors ultimately earned the VTA credential.
“The ASTA VTA Fast Track program offers the perfect combination of rigor and efficiency,” Alex Sharpe, CEO of Signature Travel Network, said in a statement.
“It gives advisors the opportunity to earn what I consider the pinnacle of credibility in our profession,” added Sharpe. “I’m happy that we were able to bring this opportunity to our advisors."
For participating advisors, the program also represented an opportunity to achieve an important professional milestone. “I’m so grateful for the VTA Fast Track opportunity with ASTA. It’s the goal I wanted to achieve the most in 2026, and it feels wonderful,” said Cherryl Holden of Holden World Travel.
Signature’s participation in the Fast Track program builds on ASTA’s work to expand access to the VTA credential through focused training opportunities for agency networks and consortia.
