This spring, the airline passenger experience is coming to two of the most popular music festivals in the United States.
Alaska Airlines has been named the official airline of both Coachella and Stagecoach, marking the second year the Seattle-based carrier will hold the title for both music festivals.
During both events, Alaska will be offering experiences, giveaways, and other free perks for concertgoers.
The airline will hand out free drinks and snacks, plus create immersive installations that offer “a full sensory escape inspired by flying above the clouds” and highlight the carrier’s newest international destinations like Rome, Tokyo, London, and Seoul.
Attendees will also get to test out Alaska’s new in-flight Wi-Fi from T-Mobile, which will be available on the ground for festival guests to connect. Plus, there’s a chance for guests to win up to 1 million Atmos points, the loyalty currency for Alaska and sister airline Hawaiian Airlines, during the festivals’ three weekends.
“Coachella and Stagecoach are more than festivals, they’re defining moments in culture,” said Eric Edge, Alaska’s vice president of brand and marketing. “We’re thrilled to return as the official airline, creating an experience that brings the energy of the festival to life and makes the journey to the desert just as memorable as the weekend itself.”
During the festivals’ windows in mid-to-late April, Alaska will offer the most seats to Palm Springs International Airport (PSP), the gateway to the Coachella Valley. The West Coast-based carrier connects to the Southern California airport from larger hubs in the Pacific Northwest, within California, and as far as the East Coast.
