Allianz Global Assistance USA announced this week a new partnership with the CNN Airport Network that will see the travel insurance and assistance company sponsor the network's travel trivia and weather segments.
Allianz will be the exclusive sponsor of CNN Airport Network's 20-second International Travel Trivia segments and weather updates. As a result, the segments will feature the Allianz Global Assistance logo and include a prompt for viewers to visit AskforAGA.com.
The CNN Airport Network, which was launched more than two decades ago, can be seen at more than 2,200 departure gates at as many as 48 major U.S. airports. The timing of the partnership couldn't be better either with passenger traffic poised to increase at airports around the country during the busy holiday travel season. Thus, more eyeballs on the network.
Allianz said its integrated program is currently underway and will end later this month.

"We're pleased to partner with CNN Airport Network to reach millions of air travelers this year," said Allianz Global Assistance USA chief marketing officer Joe Mason in a statement. "The trivia and weather content provided by CNN Airport Network is both informative and entertaining and offers a pleasant distraction while waiting for a flight."
In addition to quizzing air travelers about popular travel destinations and providing details on how weather may impact their journey, the CNN Airport Network delivers daily news from CNN and HLN, travel features, entertainment from HBO and other channels and live sporting events.
The news comes less than two months after Allianz announced a partnership with Priceline making it the website's travel insurance provider. Last month, the company rolled out an enhanced version of its popular AgentMax Online platform for travel agents.
