Setting the stage for summer travel, American
Airlines has announced the addition of 15 new domestic flight routes in
2026.
Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network
and Schedule Planning said in a statement, “American is proud to offer
unmatched connectivity across the United States. Today, we’re furthering our
commitment with new routes designed to help customers realize their travel
goals in 2026 from important hubs such as Chicago and Phoenix.”
He added, “With new routes from places like Lincoln,
Nebraska; Abilene, Texas; Columbia, Missouri; and more, we’re providing local
residents one-stop access to seal business deals, take a dream vacation with
friends or family and enjoy soccer matches on the global stage.”
New 2026 domestic routes include:
- Boston (BOS) to Madison, WI (MSN) begins June
18, year-round, once daily
- Boston (BOS) to Nantucket, MA (ACK) begins June
18, ends September 8, once daily
- Charlotte (CLT) to Columbia, MO (COU), begins
June 4, year-round, once daily
- Chicago (ORD) to Erie, PA (ERI) begins May 21,
year-round, once daily
- Chicago (ORD) to Lincoln, NE (LNK) begins June
4, year-round, once daily
- Chicago (ORD) to Tri-Cities, TN (TRI) begins May
21, year-found, once daily
- Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) to Lincoln, NE (LNK)
begins June 4, year-round, twice daily
- Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) to Roanoke, VA begins June
4, year-round, once daily
- Miami (MIA) to Jackson, MS (JAN) begins March 14,
ends August 1, once weekly on Saturdays
- Phoenix (PHX) to Abilene, TX (ABI) begins June
4, year-round, once daily
- Phoenix (PHX) to Anchorage, AK (ANC) begins May
21, ends September 8, once daily
- Phoenix (PHX) to Bozeman, MT (BZN) begins June 4,
ends September 8, once daily
- Phoenix (PHX) to Kalispell, MT (FCA) begins June
19, ends September 6, twice weekly
- Phoenix (PHX) to Lincoln, NE (LNK) begins Winter
2026, seasonal, once daily
- Phoenix (PHX) to McAllen, TX (MFE) begins June 4,
year-round, once daily
- Phoenix (PHX) to Rapid City, SD (RAP) begins June
4, ends October 4, once daily
American will also extend winter-only offerings from Chicago
(ORD) to Santa Fe, New Mexico (SAF) and Key West, Florida (EYW) into the summer
between May 21 and September 8, 2026, and expanding service from ORD to Hilton Head,
South Carolina (HHH) and to Pensacola (PNS) and Panama City (ECP) in Florida.
Previously operated only on the weekends, flights to these cities will operate
daily between February 12 and September 8, 2026.
