It’s
a first for Breeze Airways and Southwest Florida International Airport.
Breeze
will inaugurate
flights from
Fort Myers, Florida, to Manchester, New Hampshire, starting in October.
No
other airline services that route from Fort Myers.
Manchester-Boston
Regional Airport is not only considered one of the country's best airports, but
it is within a short drive of the metropolitan region in Boston.
It's
a reciprocal boost for both the Florida
and Boston areas, as folks in Fort Myers and its environs can enjoy some fall
foliage in the northeast, while those in the Boston area can winter in warm
weather.
The
announcement was made by the Lee County (Fla.) Port
Authority. The service will be twice weekly, with fares starting at $99 one
way.
“We are very pleased to see that Breeze is adding nonstop
flights to Manchester,
New Hampshire, this fall, a popular market that is not currently being served
at Southwest Florida International Airport,” said Ben Siegel, executive
director of the Lee County Port Authority.
“Breeze continues to expand and we are excited that RSW is part
of that growth,” Siegel continued.
