Travelers in Seattle will soon have access to spacious new lounges and nonstop routes to Europe, thanks to Delta Air Lines’ latest launches.

The carrier is enhancing its offerings at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) with two of its swankiest airport lounges opening this week and international routes debuting in spring 2026.

Starting in May 2026, Delta will begin flying new routes from Seattle to Rome and Barcelona. Service from SEA to Barcelona’s El Prat Airport (BCN) will begin on May 7, 2026, and operate three times per week. Flights to Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport (FCO) will launch on May 6, 2026, and operate four times per week.

Currently, there are no nonstop flights between Seattle and Rome, so Delta could be the first-ever carrier to serve the route. Alaska Airlines has also announced it will be launching Seattle-to-Rome flights in 2026—its first European destination—but that service is still awaiting final approval from regulators and no launch date has been set.

Both routes will be served by Delta’s Airbus A330-900neo planes, outfitted with three cabins: Delta One, featuring lie-flat seats and privacy doors, Premium Select, and Main Cabin.

Aside from the new Europe-bound flights, Delta is also debuting two lounges in Seattle: a Delta One Lounge and a Delta Sky Club, both located in a separate-but-connected space that spans two stories and 24,000 square feet.

The Delta One Lounge, located on the top floor, will open on June 26. It will offer a fine-dining experience with an open kitchen and Seattle-inspired dishes like Dungeness crab cannelloni, wood-fired teriyaki steelhead, and Dutch baby pancakes with Rainier cherry compote. Additional highlights include a concierge-style check-in, seats for 149 guests, and a wrap-around terrace with views of Mount Rainier and an additional 72 outdoor seats.

The lounge’s main floor will house the Delta Sky Club. Inside, travelers will find seats for 183 guests and panoramic windows that look out at the area’s mountains and forests. When it comes to meal time, the new Sky Club will be serving up fresh salads, substantial entrees like ribs and lemon chicken, and local favorites like clam chowder from Seattle seafood institution Ivar’s. The Sky Club opened its doors on June 25.

"These sophisticated-yet-comfortable spaces reflect Delta’s commitment to delivering experiences customers can look forward to through every step of their journey," said Claude Roussel, VP of Sky Clubs and lounge experience. “By continuing to invest in key markets and creating bespoke Lounges and Sky Clubs, we are responding to customer demand for the elevated experiences they have come to know, love and expect from Delta at our hubs and beyond.”

The two-in-one lounge space is located directly across from Gate A11.
