With its latest sweepstakes, Frontier Airlines is inviting travelers to hit the pavement at one of the most popular marathon races in the United States.
The Denver-based carrier will be giving away $40,000 worth of flight vouchers to run clubs across the country who want to participate in Boulderthon, presented by PUMA, in Boulder, Colorado.
The Race Together, Fly Together Sweepstakes, which the budget airline is running in partnership with Boulderthon, will award one run club a grand prize of up to $2,000 in flight vouchers, five complimentary race entries and a two-night hotel stay in Boulder. The top 20 run clubs chosen will receive up to $2,000 in Frontier Airlines flight credits, the opportunity to be featured in a national spotlight and exclusive access to Boulderthon’s invite-only VIP Run Club Meetup.
Boulderthon is the second-fastest growing marathon in the U.S. Aside from the full marathon, a half-marathon will also be offered, as well as 5K and 10K races and a kids run.
The marathon and half-marathon races are known for their beautiful courses, which take runners through striking landscapes, including the foothills of the Flatirons and offers views of the Boulder Reservoir, Table Mountain, and Haystack Mountain. “Boulderthon is truly a one-of-a-kind course, and we want anyone who is interested in experiencing the event to be able to,” said Alexa Squillaro, event director of Boulderthon, presented by PUMA. The course is also flat with limited elevation, ensuring better race times for runners.
In order to be eligible to apply, run clubs or groups of runners must have five or more participants and be willing to fly from Atlanta, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Philadelphia, Phoenix, or Tampa. Applications are currently open on Frontier’s website, and the deadline to apply is August 1, 2025. Winners will be chosen at random.

In 2024, nearly 10,000 runners from all 50 states and 22 countries participated in Boulderthon.
