Travelers based in small and rural communities will now have better access to flights across the United States and beyond, thanks to a new airline partnership.
JetBlue has just launched a new interline agreement with Contour Airlines, which focuses on operating regional flights between smaller towns and larger cities.
The agreement will allow travelers to book a single itinerary that includes flights operated by both Contour and JetBlue, ticketing coordination and baggage checked through to their final destination.
Under the partnership, Contour fliers will now have better connections and access across JetBlue’s route network of more than 100 destinations.
"[T]his represents a meaningful step forward in providing better accessibility to both residents of these communities and travelers looking to visit one of our many great destinations,” said Contour’s President Ben Munson.
Travelers can now purchase the interline fares through Contour’s booking platforms and major travel agencies.
"Our new interline agreement with Contour Airlines reflects JetBlue's continued commitment to expanding access and connectivity for our customers," said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships.
Contour is based at Tennessee’s Smyrna Airport (MQY) and serves more than 30 destinations across the U.S. and the Caribbean. It also has similar interline agreements with Alaska Airlines, United, and American Airlines.
