JetBlue is refreshing its onboard offerings ahead of the busy summer vacation season. The carrier, beloved for free perks like live TV, is revamping its menu of snacks, meals, and entertainment, with the first changes starting Thursday, May 1.
Peckish passengers in economy class will appreciate new free snack options, including Goldfish Crackers and Lotus Biscoff cookies.
For longer flights in the airline’s transatlantic Core cabin (essentially regular coach on flights to Europe), JetBlue is offering new in-flight menus from New York City restaurant DIG. Among the fresh dishes that fliers can choose from are options such as a smoked turkey croissant layered with brie, fennel, arugula, and balsamic onion jam for breakfast, and a hearty chicken grain bowl with grilled chicken, tri-color quinoa, and cucumber yogurt for lunch and dinner.
In Mint business class, JetBlue is bringing back dishes from the New York restaurant Charlie Bird. Premium fliers will have selections like an Asparagus frittata with goat cheese, herb salad and Parmigiano for breakfast; pan-roasted chicken with artichokes, mint and breadcrumbs; and flat iron steak with summer squash caponata, pine nut crumble and mint for lunch and dinner.
Mint passengers will also have a new to-go breakfast item on red-eye flights, Allie’s Banana Bread, which is also a New York-based company.
Across all its cabins, the airline will be rolling out new features to its seat-back entertainment system, including an option for passengers to customize their food options for any allergens they might have, a curated list of trending content to see what other fliers are watching, as well as a new capability to rate and recommend viewing options.
