Abercrombie & Kent has launched a new luxury riverboat in Egypt, expanding its Nile cruise offerings amid growing international interest in the destination.
Nile Seray, an A&K Sanctuary vessel, accommodates 64 guests in 32 suites and operates four-night voyages between Luxor and Aswan. The vessel combines contemporary design, onboard dining and wellness amenities with guided excursions to some of Egypt's most significant archaeological sites.
The launch comes as interest in Egypt grows following the November 2025 opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. A&K has operated river cruises in the country for nearly five decades, beginning with founder Geoffrey Kent's lease of the SS Memnon in 1977.
Nile Seray features two dining areas, a swimming pool, a gym and two massage treatment rooms. Its suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Nile, while its onboard art collection showcases works by contemporary Egyptian artists and local artisans.
All meals and excursions are included in the four-night itineraries, which feature visits to the temples of Luxor, Karnak and Aswan. Guests also receive complimentary insider access to several archaeological sites, including the tombs of Seti I and Ramses VI, as well as private openings of the tombs of Tutankhamun and Amenhotep III.
A&K Egyptologists accompany excursions, while additional experiences include traditional felucca sailing around Elephantine Island, Egyptian cooking classes and onboard cultural entertainment.
“Nile Seray is a major milestone for A&K in Egypt and a significant investment in the future of luxury travel on the Nile,” says Amr Badr, senior vice president for Egypt and the Middle East at Abercrombie & Kent. “Building on nearly five decades of pioneering river cruises, we've created a riverboat that brings together exceptional design, outstanding hospitality and unparalleled access to Egypt's extraordinary heritage.”
Nile Seray joins A&K Sanctuary's existing Nile fleet, which includes Nile Adventurer, Sun Boat III, Sun Boat IV and Zein Nile Chateau. The company also plans to launch a sister vessel on the Nile in 2028.
Every booking supports A&K Philanthropy's community initiatives in Egypt, including partnerships with the Funtasia After School Program in Luxor, the river cleanup organization VeryNile and the Aswan Heart Centre, which provides cardiac care to patients at no cost.
Rates for Nile Seray start at $3,125 per person for a four-night voyage.
