South Florida travelers will soon have access to a record number of premium airline seats, thanks to JetBlue’s latest expansion.
The carrier is adding a historic number of Mint business class flights from its hub at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), including onboard service to San Diego for the first time.
Mint business class comes with lie-flat seats and gourmet dining options, including a variety of dishes from popular New York City restaurants.
The Mint expansion is set to roll out at FLL this winter, with the premium cabin class launching on daily nonstop flights to San Diego International Airport (SAN) on November 19. JetBlue will offer the only business class option between the two cities.
The airline will also add more Mint flights from FLL to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) starting in winter 2026.
With the new flights, JetBlue is set to operate its largest-ever Mint schedule out of Fort Lauderdale.
The Mint expansion is part of an ongoing growth strategy for JetBlue at FLL. So far in 2026, the carrier has increased daily departures from the South Florida city by more than 75 percent and plans to operate about 150 daily departures from Fort Lauderdale this winter.
“Customers in Fort Lauderdale continue to choose JetBlue for a better coast-to-coast experience, and these additions give them even more of what they value most: more flights, more premium options and the comfort of Mint on key West Coast routes,” said Daniel Shurz, JetBlue’s senior vice president, revenue, network and enterprise planning.
