Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Receive Upgrades

It isn’t the nation’s busiest airport.

In fact, it’s not even in the top ten.

It’s not a hub airport for any airline, although it is a point of emphasis for Delta Air Lines and Frontier.

But it is a critical stopover for anybody who doesn’t mind a change in flights.

Now, Raleigh-Durham International Airport in set for a big makeover.

RDU is in line for a $650 million facelift. It becomes the latest in a line of airports around the country getting improvements. 

RDU has emerged as an important airport for changeovers for any place in the country, much less the southeast. The money for the North Carolina airport makeover comes from the 2021 federal infrastructure program that was doled out to almost a dozen airports.
