Southwest Airlines has revealed plans to operate nonstop flights between Washington, D.C.'s Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport (DCA) and Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) beginning in early 2025.The low-cost carrier will also offer the only one-stop, no-change service between DCA and California's Sacramento International Airport (SMF).The Department of Transportation (DOT) awarded Southwest one of five new roundtrip flights available at DCA through the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024.Bookings are now available and service begins on Thursday, February 13, with daily service starting Thursday, March 6.“Southwest is grateful to the U.S. Department of Transportation for its approval of our application to provide nonstop service from Washington to Las Vegas,” Brook Sorem, Vice President of Network Planning at Southwest Airlines, said in a statement. “We believe more Customers will benefit from lower fares while enjoying the airline that offers legendary Hospitality and unrivaled flexibility.”Initially, service between DCA and LAS will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
