Flying to more countries than any other airline, Turkish
Airlines, established in 1933, has announced a significant milestone for
its Miles&Smiles loyalty program as it welcomes its 20 millionth member.
Since the frequent flyer program’s inception in 1989, Turkish
Airlines not only marks 35 years of growth and innovation, but providing unparalleled
benefits to its loyal members who earn miles from not only Turkish
Airlines flights, but other Star Alliance member airlines. Since 1989, the
Miles&Smiles awards program has issued over 20 million award tickets
demonstrating its popularity among travelers.
In addition to flights, members can also earn miles through
co-branded credit card expenditures and Turkish airline partners across various
sectors including accommodations, tourism, car rental and technology.
Miles can be redeemed on the program platform operating in
19 countries. Additionally, members can use miles to purchase gift cards,
convert earned miles into program partner points or use miles online with leading
brands. The program has partnerships with over 300 brands globally including
Booking.com, Marriot, Enterprise, Apple, Ikea, Sephora and Ticketmaster.
Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee,
Prof. Ahmet Bolat said in a statement, “Our passengers are at the heart of
