Several major airlines in the United States have announced additional flights to transport fans from Kansas City and San Francisco to Las Vegas for the 2024 edition of the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for February 11.

With the love story involving Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce taking center stage along with the game, the carriers adding service have changed flight numbers to mirror the numbers of the parties involved.

American Airlines announced that Flight 1989—a nod to one of Swift’s most popular albums—is scheduled to run twice from Kansas City to Las Vegas on February 9 and 10, both departing at 12:30 p.m. local time.

After the game, travelers heading back to Kansas City will fly home on Flight 87, Kelce’s jersey number. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is also honored, as Flight 15 will fly twice to Las Vegas and then twice home following the Super Bowl.

“You could say that after tonight’s games, we are in our football era, and we are thrilled to provide additional direct flights from Kansas City to Las Vegas,” an American Airlines spokesperson said. “To our customers who are huge sports fans, look what you made us do.”

United Airlines also got in on the fun by revealing six direct flights between Kansas City and Las Vegas for the game, with each tagged with a special flight number created in honor of the couple and the players involved.

The new flight numbers include UA 1989, UA 2287 and UA 1587.

Southwest Airlines is taking a more traditional route and simply adding flights without themed numbers. The carrier is bolstering service from multiple cities in California before and after the Super Bowl, as well as more direct flights between Kansas City and Las Vegas.

In addition, Delta Air Lines will add up to 16 flights and more than 2,500 additional seats for pro football fans headed to Las Vegas from Kansas City, San Francisco, San Jose, and New York City. SkyMiles Members traveling during the action can stream the game in-flight with Paramount+ on Delta Sync Wi-Fi.

Last week, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced a series of restrictions for aviation industry during the Super Bowl festivities, including parking for vehicles at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
