In 2026, airfares have soared and prevented many travelers from taking dream trips across the United States or abroad.
With flight prices projected to stay elevated for the foreseeable future, it’s more important than ever before for travelers to know the best way to find good deals on airfare.
Thankfully, flight deal company Going has identified the U.S. airports that have the most frequent deals for both domestic and international flights.
"With most travel headlines featuring affordability right now, we built these rankings around what actually matters to travelers: not just the price of the ticket, but how deep the discount is and how often a good deal comes around,” said Willis Orlando, flight expert at Going. “An airport that has one amazing fare a year isn't as valuable to travelers as one that delivers solid deals every week.”
Denver (DEN) took the top spot for the U.S. airport with the most domestic deals. The Colorado hub is a home base for low-cost carrier Frontier, which has forced other airlines with a focus in Denver, like United and Southwest, to lower their fares in order to compete, according to Going.
New Orleans (MSY) ranked in second place, with numerous affordable flight deals due to a similar fare war between Breeze and Southwest, Going says, while Orlando (MCO) locals get access to year-round good deals thanks to massive flight capacities heading to and from central Florida’s theme parks.
For international fare deals, fliers based in the Northeast get the most frequent access to affordable flights on international routes.
Boston (BOS) took the top spot as the U.S. airport with the most frequent number of international deals in Going’s rankings. Following in second place is New York JFK, and nearby Newark (EWR) scooped up third place on the list.
The three Northeast hubs are “the country's primary East Coast gateways to international travel," said Orlando. "Boston's proximity to Europe makes it a strong pick for transatlantic deals, and its JetBlue base adds a steady stream of Caribbean fares on top of that. JFK and Newark complement each other on international coverage.”
On the other side of the spectrum, travelers in Hawaii and Alaska aren’t so lucky, with airports in those two states being among those with the least amount of flight deals, according to Going.
The airports with the fewest number of domestic deals are Honolulu (HNL), Kahului (OGG), and Anchorage (ANC). On the international side, Kahului (OGG), Anchorage (ANC), and Oakland (OAK) saw the fewest deals to destinations abroad.
Kahului and Anchorage only see about 0-2 flight deals per week, with average prices well into the $500 range, making them two of the most expensive airports in the country.
