A United Airlines flight traveling from Munich, Germany to Washington, D.C. was diverted to Boston's Logan International Airport after reports of smoke in the cabin over the weekend.
According to the Associated Press, the flight landed without incident in Boston Sunday afternoon. No injuries were reported.
A spokesman for the airline said the smoke likely started in the galley, where in-flight meals are prepared.
Passengers remained seated while emergency crews boarded the plane to assess the situation. United said its maintenance team would inspect the aircraft to determine the cause. It's unclear if there was a fire onboard.
A photo taken at the scene showed firetrucks and emergency personnel on the tarmac.
Passengers were eventually deplaned and put on other flights to continue their trip to D.C., according to CBS Boston. The flight was scheduled to arrive at Virginia's Washington Dulles International Airport.

Sunday's incident is the latest involving smoke in the cabin. Last month, an Allegiant Air flight was evacuated in California after thick smoke began to fill the inside of the plane.
In June, a JetBlue flight was forced to deploy its emergency chutes after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit.
