For more than 50 years, Amtrak has connected America and modernized train travel, traveling to more than 500 destinations across 46 states and parts of Canada,
Now Amtrak has announced the extension of its popular “Night Owl” fares on select Northeast Corridor (NEC) routes between Boston and New York.
Additionally, the time frame for departures has been increased by two hours in order to meet the demand for travelers returning from concerts, plays, sporting events or those who prefer earlier and later departures to take advantage of these lower rates.
How Night Owl Fares Work
During off-peak hours for those trains traveling between Washington, D.C. and New York, and now New York to Boston – departing between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. – Amtrak is offering low fares for coach tickets on its Northeast Regional and other select routes.
