The Memorial Day holiday is the traditional beginning of summer, but Enterprise Rent-A-Car is looking to get customers to celebrate the season a little earlier by offering special deals that run through May 18.
According to Enterprise, the company is offering a special weekend rate of $9.99 per day for customers through Monday, May 18. The cost applies to economy and compact cars being rented between Friday and Monday. The $9.99 per day rate also includes 300 free miles per weekend.
Calling the time of the year "SpringBetween," consumer travel expert Rudy Maxa has teamed up with Enterprise to showcase why taking your vacation now is the smartest game plan. From lower hotel room rates and lodging alternatives to less crowded highways and attractions, Maxa explains that there are several benefits to booking a trip in mid-May.
Maxa said in a statement, "Summer is typically the busiest travel season, but there are plenty of reasons why would-be travelers should consider taking a vacation earlier this year."
Enterprise Rent-A-Car vice president, Steve Short, released a statement about traveling during this time of year, "'SpringBetween' has been a best kept secret among savvy travelers. Making your 'SpringBetween' getaway in a rental car gives you the space you need and saves mileage and wear-and-tear on your own vehicle."
For many travelers, renting a car can be a real headache, but the affordable prices offered by Enterprise over the next week are unbeatable. Avilability is key for many consumers, and the company has more than 5,500 offices located within 15 miles of 90 percent of the United States population.
While some people must travel on the Memorial Day holiday to visit family or attend graduation parties, those who can avoid it by taking a trip now will save money. And having extra money for vacation is never a bad thing.
