Let's face it: No matter how long you have been in love with your partner, you sometimes need a spark to relight the fires of romance. Cruises for two are inherently romantic, but wise choices of destination and ship can build on that opportunity-making them a sure winner when it comes to rekindling your love.
Tahiti and the Society Islands
There's nothing like a trip to the exotic tropics to turn up the romance. Tahiti is known as a prime honeymoon destination, so why not take advantage of the romantic atmosphere to go on a second (or third) honeymoon. You will be surrounded by romance from start to finish. There are a handful of suites still available on Oceania's Sirena sailing in May.
Venice to Athens
What could be more romantic than starting a cruise in Venice? Arrive a day or two ahead and explore everything that Venice offers. Besides a romantic gondola ride, visit the Murano glass factories, eat your fill of chocolate, and sip sparkling wine before you board your cruise to ports throughout the Adriatic and Aegean Seas. Viking Ocean has spring sailings, some on the line's newest ships.
Transatlantic crossings
If there's a sure way to rekindle your romance, it is probably on an extended ocean crossing voyage. Imagine days spent enjoying nothing but each other's company, good food, and the endless beauty of the sea. Throw in a spa treatment or two and you have the perfect stress-free trip. Upcoming spring crossings are available on several lines, but take a look at Royal Caribbean's crossing on Serenade of the Seas in April. Sixteen nights, including ten total sea days, and ports that include Paris and Amsterdam, with balcony cabins starting at only $1,099 per person. The bonus on Serenade is that it has an adults-only solarium with a covered pool in case the Atlantic weather doesn't cooperate.

Alaska
Alaskan cruises are typically thought of as adventure cruises, but think about the romance of huddling on a balcony together watching the glaciers and the wildlife. Think about snuggling in front of a cozy fire in a romantic lodge with a pre or post cruise journey to Banff or Denali. Then think about doing all of that in July or August when it is sweltering at home. Feel the romance? Celebrity does Alaska for romance seekers. Look at this cruise tour package that includes Denali by rail onboard Celebrity Millennium.
Paris
And then there is Paris-the city of love. Walk hand-in-hand along the Seine. Toast your love with French Champagne. Sit quietly in a street café. From the Eifel Tower to the Champs-Élysées, enjoy the romance of the heart of France onboard a Viking River cruise with overnights in Paris at the beginning and end of the cruise.
Hawaii
Perhaps the ultimate cruise for rekindling your love is a cruise that includes the Hawaiian Islands. Cruising is the easy way to see Hawaii, as you hop from island to island without the hassle of packing, repacking, and catching multiple flights. NCL does 7-night Hawaii sailings from Honolulu all year long, making it easy to pick the dates that work into your romantic escape to the islands.
