Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled new additions to its 2026-27 cruise seasons, with sailings from the East and West coasts of the United States.
The company is sending Carnival Luminosa to San Francisco, where it will sail to Alaska from April 27 through September 10, 2026. The ship will offer 10-day voyages to No. 49, with stops in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Prince Rupert, plus scenic sailing through Tracy Arm Fjord. The ship rounds out Carnival’s 2026 Alaska season, which also includes Carnival Miracle and Carnival Spirit sailing from Seattle.
While homeporting in San Francisco, Carnival Luminosa will also offer 4-day long weekend cruises to Baja California, Mexico, between April 23 and August 27, 2026. At the end of the summer, the ship will cross the Pacific on an 18-day exploration of Alaska and Japan.
Carnival Horizon, meanwhile, will homeport in Miami from the summer of 2026 through the spring of 2027. The ship will offer 6-day Western Caribbean itineraries and 8-day Southern Caribbean cruises.
Carnival Vista will sail from Port Canaveral, offering 6-day cruises that stop at Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay. The vessel will also offer 8-day voyages that visit destinations like St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan and Aruba.
Travelers who want to sail from Norfolk, Virginia, can book sailings aboard the Carnival Sunshine, which will offer 4- to 7-day cruises to Bermuda and 5- to 7-day trips to the Bahamas. The ship will also make 8-day voyages to the Eastern Caribbean and Canada.
As the ships reposition to their new seasonal homeports, they’ll also offer some longer “Carnival Journeys” itineraries.
“In addition to extending our successful deployment schedules in Miami, Port Canaveral and Norfolk, Carnival Luminosa will bring a new experience to our seasonal homeport of San Francisco for the 2026 Alaska season,” says Fred Stein, vice president of deployment for Carnival Cruise Line.
“These new sailings also introduce some truly stellar additions to our Carnival Journeys program of longer sailings, with a transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Miami on Carnival Horizon and Carnival Luminosa’s transpacific voyages from Brisbane to San Francisco visiting Fiji, Tahiti and Hawaii, and San Francisco to Yokohama (Tokyo) visiting Alaska and Japan," Stein continued.
