Bookings are now open for Carnival Cruise Line’s 2027-28 sailings, including a solar eclipse sailing on July 29, 2027.
Carnival Miracle will cruise from Galveston, Texas, before heading to Europe for the summer season, including the eclipse. Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise, meanwhile, will sail from Jacksonville and Tampa, Florida.
“While there will be many ways to view the solar eclipse, seeing it from Carnival Miracle will definitely be the most fun way to do so,” says Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Along with the great summer 2027 season in Europe, the combination of our large and diverse fleet and roster of U.S. homeports allows us to bring more variety and adventure to the 2027/28 season.”
Carnival Miracle will homeport in Galveston starting in March 2027, joining three other Carnival ships in the Lonestar State. The vessel will sail to various destinations in the Eastern and Western Caribbean before heading across the Atlantic in May 2027. The ship will homeport in Dover from May through September 2027, offering eight- to 12-day itineraries across the British Isles, Northern Europe, Scandinavia and Baltic regions. In September 2027, Carnival Miracle will homeport in Civitavecchia (Rome), offering a series of eight- and 10-day itineraries visiting the Greek Isles, Turkey, Italy, Croatia and Montenegro.
An 11-day Carnival Journeys cruise on July 29 will feature a special day at sea for solar eclipse viewing on August 2, 2027. The itinerary includes stops in Portugal, Spain, France and Belgium.
Carnival Paradise will continue sailing from Tampa, offering four- to six-day Caribbean getaways, while Carnival Elation will sail from Jacksonville, offering a mix of four- and five-day itineraries.
