Carnival Cruise Line will reposition the 2,124-passenger Carnival Legend to Port Tampa Bay in October 2019.

The ship is currently in Portland, Ore. for an extensive dry dock. It will emerge with new food and beverage outlets that include Guy's Burger Joint, in collaboration with Food Network star Guy Fieri. Other new venues include the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar, the BlueIguana Tequila Bar and BlueIguana Cantina.

Family-friendly options are getting a makeover, as well. Camp Ocean will be decked out with a new marine-themed kids play area. And the new Circle "C" will cater to 12- to 14-year-olds.

Carnival Legend will operate seven-day Alaska cruises from Seattle during the summer of 0218. She'll then reposition to Australia for a series of cruises from Sydney and Melbourne in the fall and winter.

In the summer of 2019, the ship returns to Seattle for another season of Alaska cruises. She'll sail a series of longer Carnival Journeys before deploying to Tampa. They include a nine-day Alaska cruise from Vancouver, a 16-day Hawaii voyage from Vancouver and 15-day Panama Canal transit that begins in Los Angeles and ends in Tampa.

"At Carnival, we encourage our guests to Choose Fun and with these voyages aboard the newly refurbished Carnival Legend we're providing our guests with a broad spectrum of exciting cruise options featuring sought-after destinations and unique experiences ashore," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

Carnival Legend's seven-day schedule from Tampa begins on Oct. 27, 2019 and includes calls to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Mahogany Bay and Belize or Costa Maya. She'll operate a round-trip 14-day Panama Canal cruise from Tampa Dec. 1-15, 2019. The itinerary features Cozumel and Limon (Costa Rica) before transiting the Panama Canal, followed by Cartagena, Aruba, Curacao and Grand Cayman.

On Jan. 25, 2020, Carnival Legend will sail an eight-day voyage that includes a partial transit of the Panama Canal as well as port calls at Limon and Grand Cayman.
