Carnival Paradise has resumed year-round service from Port Tampa Bay following an extensive dry dock. The renovations added a WaterWorks Aqua Park, miniature golf course, enhanced retail space, kid’s areas and 38 new staterooms (including two Grand Vista suites with floor-to-ceiling windows; 22 junior suites, two scenic oceanview suites and 12 interior staterooms).
Private verandahs have been added to 98 staterooms and interiors have been refreshed with tropical colors.
New food and beverage concepts aboard Carnival Paradise include Guy’s Burger Joint, a poolside venue developed with Food Network personality Guy Fieri. RedFrog Rum Bar will offer Caribbean rum-based frozen drinks and beers, including Carnival’s private label brew, ThirstyFrog Red. BlueIguana Cantina will feature freshly made-burritos and tacos on homemade tortillas. And BlueIguana Tequila Bar will offer tequila-based frozen drinks and beers.
Also new is Camp Ocean, a marine-inspired play area for kids ages 2-11. It will offer more than 200 ocean-themed activities and science-oriented programming. Circle “C” is designed for the 12- to 14-year-olds, and features space for dance parties, video games and more.
“We can’t wait for our guests to check out the fantastic new features aboard Carnival Paradise, which returns to service better than ever offering an exciting combination of itineraries featuring top destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico and Cuba,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
Carnival Paradise will sail four and five-day Caribbean cruises to Cozumel and Grand Cayman. She will also offer four- to eight-day cruises to Cuba featuring day-long and overnight calls in Havana.
Other Tampa-based cruises include Carnival Miracle’s year-round six- and seven-day Caribbean cruises and eight-day voyages that include the Panama Canal.
