Carnival Cruise Lines' new Carnival Vista is set to make its debut in the spring of 2016, and, when it does, will sail on a handful of exciting Mediterranean itineraries throughout its inaugual season.
Following its handover ceremony next year, the Carnival Vista will depart on a 13-day voyage from Trieste, Italy on May 1, 2016. The maiden cruise will conclude in Barcelona on May 14, 2016.
The Carnival Vista will visit a handful of new ports for Carnival during its 19 departures through Oct. 21, 2016, including Crete (Heraklion), and Corfu, Greece; Valletta, Malta; Palermo, Sicily; Cagliari, Sardinia; and Gibraltar.
Seven of the 19 departures will be roundtrip journeys from Barcelona, which include six eight-day voyages and one 12-day cruise that's scheduled to depart the Catalonian capital on August 6, 2016.
After a busy summer in the Mediterranean, the Carnival Vista will conclude its inaugural European season with a 13-day trans-Atlantic cruise from Barcelona to New York on Oct. 21, 2016.
The vessel is set to arrive in the Big Apple on Nov. 3, 2016.
But while the itineraries boast tremendous ports of call, passengers aboard the Carnival Vista are sure to be blown away by some of the ship's onboard amenities, which include the first-ever IMAX theater at sea.
Upon completion, the 3,954-guest ship will stretch over 1,000 feet long and boast 1,450 crew members.
Currently, the Carnival Vista is in the dry dock phase of construction, where it will be until June 2015, when it's floated out and prepared for the wet dock.
