On the heels of announcing the acquisition of a 13-seat Bombardier Global Express jet, Crystal Cruises revealed plans to add a fourth jet, one with a je ne sais quoi, to its air fleet.
The 30-seat Airbus ACJ319 jet previously served as the plane for Nicolas Sarkozy, who was president of France from May 16, 2007, until May 15, 2012.
It will join the Bombardier Global Express XRS, a Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 787 Dreamliner as part of the Crystal Luxury Air fleet. The new planes will operate as private charters and transport guests to Crystal destinations for ocean, river or yacht voyages from any point in the U.S. to the Mediterranean, Indian Ocean and the Pacific.

"With our vast choice of aircrafts, we are confident Crystal Luxury Air will deliver the fast and hassle-free requirements our guests and discerning travelers have been wanting with global air travel," said Crystal President and CEO Edie Rodriguez.
Starting in summer 2016, the ACJ319 jet will accommodate 30 travelers in luxury with 16 lay-flat seats as they are transported to Crystal destinations for ocean, river and yacht voyages.
The Airbus ACJ319 flies at up to 41,000 feet and has a range of up to 6,900 miles.
Starting in March, the Bombardier Global Express XRS will feature a spacious two-cabin configuration, accommodating up to 13 guests with four executive wide club seats with foldout tables, a four-place conference space opposite a single seat workstation and cabinet, laptop imagery on cabin monitors, surround sound, high temperature oven and an aft entertainment cabin with a 31.5-inch LCD screen.
