A Disney Cruise Line ship saved multiple people from a sinking catamaran off the coast of Bermuda on Sunday.
The line's newest vessel, Disney Treasure responded to the Coast Guard's call for help, launching one of its small boats to rescue four people from the Serenity, which began taking on water due to a gasket failure in the escape hatch.
The cruise line's newest ship was returning to Florida's Port Canaveral from Eemshaven, Netherlands and was about 80 miles from the catamaran when it got the call. No injuries were reported.
"We are pleased that the Disney Treasure was able to provide aid to the boat passengers in peril. Our crew members worked together on the rescue, skillfully demonstrating their training and commitment to safety," Disney Treasure Captain Marco Nogara said in a statement to ABC News.
There have been multiple cruise ship rescues this year, including incidents involving Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line ships from the Caribbean to the Pacific.
