Holland America Line and Seabourn are merging their sales teams to boost their support of trade partners.
The two brands are divisions of Carnival Corporation & plc. By consolidating their sales teams into a single unit, they hope to strengthen and unify their sales efforts.
“Combining the two sales teams enables us to leverage and integrate industry-leading reporting, analytics and commercial trade programs for both brands,” says Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn.
Rob Coleman will lead the combined sales team as the new senior vice president of North America and Australia sales. He will continue to report to Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer for Holland America Line.
“Over the past 25 years, Rob has been an invaluable asset to Holland America Line’s sales team,” says Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line. “With his expertise he is poised to lead Holland America Line and Seabourn in an exciting opportunity to further build and expand trade alliances.”
Coleman has been with Holland America Line since 1999 and has risen through the ranks to various positions. Most recently, he served as Holland America Line’s vice president of North America sales.
In addition, Tara Schreiner has been promoted to vice president of national and strategic partnerships for Holland America Line and Seabourn. Steve Smotrys, Seabourn’s vice president, sales and trade relations, is leaving the company in September.
“Our field sales team already is experienced in representing both Holland America Line and Seabourn, and combining forces makes us a powerhouse,” says Coleman. “This will be highly beneficial for travel advisors who already work with both brands, providing consistency, focus and enhanced support for their businesses.”
