Hurtigruten Group Releases Latest Environmental Impact Report

Hurtigruten Group is making progress toward its environmental, social and governance goals, according to the latest ESG report from the company.

Some of the highlights include:

• A 49 percent reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions 
• A 446 percent increase in solar capacity
• A 12.8 percent reduction in total waste produced
• A 51 percent reduction in edible food waste per passenger
• An 9.3 percent reduction in water consumption per passenger

"In 2023, Hurtigruten has made considerable progress in reducing our footprint and continuing our positive contributions to the local community along the Norwegian coast,” says Hedda Felin, CEO of Hurtigruten, one of the three brands within Hurtigruten Group. “We are delighted with the progress we have achieved and are proud to see that we are on the right track."
