The only thing missing from watching people rock the stage as they fake singing a popular song was the luxurious comforts of a modern day cruise.
Now, we can have everything as Spike TV and Carnival Cruise Line have announced the popular "Lip Sync Battle" will come to various ships in 2017 making its grand entrance into the line's long list of entertainment aboard the Carnival Vista in December.
It's important to understand that this experience is being called "Lip Sync Battle Carnival," which means you can forget about seeing Dwayne Johnson or Anne Hathaway belting out a silly tune in front of you.
That is, unless, they happen to be enjoying their own respective holiday on the ship with you. That's because this experience is all about having the guests have a great time as they take on the gyrations and rock enthusiasm that make a winning lip-sync master.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, had this to say via press release: "We're delighted to offer this exciting new entertainment activity to our guests. Lip Sync Battle Carnival takes the brand's participatory fun to the next level, providing our guests with a chance to showcase their talents and demonstrate their creativity with their fellow guests cheering them on."
Wacky props and costumes will also be made available just to make that intense solo of yours really pop, and there will also be a DJ booth looming nearby to really drive home the experience of the hit Spike TV show.
Speaking of which, Casey Patterson, executive producer of "Lip Sync Battle" offered these thoughts: "Lip Sync Battle has proven to be a huge worldwide hit with families and we are thrilled to bring our unique and distinctive format to the world's most popular cruise line. It's the perfect extension of our global brand, as now with Lip Sync Battle Carnival, our fans can join the party and show off their lip sync battling skills."

If you want to wow your fellow cruise mates as a finalist, then you will have to wade through the gauntlet of preliminary competitions that take place at the start of the cruise on the Lido Deck.
Finalists will get to strut their stuff in a wonderfully produced show that begins with a pre-produced video, "by 'Lip Sync Battle' hosts and a rousing introduction from the ship's cruise director."
If you manage to take the top spot, you will get what is described as "a special prize unique to the reality show."
Then again, you aren't there for a prize. No, you are there for the ultimate glory that comes with a rousing ovation that explodes after you absolutely decimate your favorite song.
