Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Star is the first ship in the fleet with Jimmy Buffett's Five O'Clock Somewhere Bar.

The 2,240-passenger ship unveiled the new watering hole during a two-week, dry-dock renovation completed last week, part of the line's NEXT Program designed to refresh the fleet with the newest onboard innovations.

The Norwegian Star, which will sail from Copenhagen this summer, also launched O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar & Grill, a 24-hour complimentary restaurant that serves traditional pub fare and is a popular spot on other ships in the fleet.

Moreover, Ginza, the Asian fusion restaurant, was enhanced and the previous $15 cover charge was eliminated. The full complimentary menu now includes dishes from a dedicated noodle bar such as traditional Chinese noodles, wok-fried specialties, and dim sum. New à la carte offerings, such as Japanese Hot Rock Ishiyaki and a sushi menu developed by Yuki Ieto, are available for a fee. The new sushi and sashimi pieces will be served at the restaurant's sushi bar. Or, guests can select from four specialty rolls from a moving sushi belt, a first for the cruise industry.

The Five o'Clock Somewhere Bar was made possible through an exclusive partnership Norwegian has with Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. Newer ships also will have a Margaritaville restaurant.

The Five o'Clock Somewhere Bar will serve signature cocktails such as the "Who's to Blame Margarita," LandShark Lagers and more, coupled with nightly live musical performances.

Other changes on the Norwegian Star include the move of Moderno Churrascaria, the Brazilian-style steakhouse, to a more intimate setting on Deck 13, next to a new Sugarcane Mojito Bar.

The ship also received new carpets and flooring throughout guest areas, window replacements, upgrades in galley areas and updates to the pool deck. Digital signage, first introduced on Norwegian Breakaway, also was added to the ship. The interactive touch screen signs allow guests to order specialty items, get directions and reserve dining and shore excursions with a scan of their stateroom key.

Norwegian Star will operate seven- to 14-day itineraries through the Baltic capitals and Norwegian fjords to ports of call including Berlin, Germany; Tallinn, Estonia; St. Petersburg, Russia; Helsinki, Finland; and Stockholm, Sweden. Fares start at $1,059 per person, double occupancy.
