As the Baja region recovers from Hurricane Odile, Princess Cruises cancelled a Sept. 26 call to Cabo San Lucas by the Coral Princess. The ship instead will visit Puerto Vallarta from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Another cruise line that regularly visits Cabo, Carnival Cruise Lines, said its next scheduled call is not until early October by Carnival Miracle.
"We have been receiving some information on conditions in Cabo San Lucas via our port agent and we will continue to assess the situation," Carnival said in a statement. "We are also looking at ways we may be able to assist with local relief efforts. Cabo San Lucas has been a popular port with Carnival guests for many years and our thoughts and prayers are with the people of the community at this time."
