The original cast members from the iconic series “The Love Boat” will be reuniting once again on a cruise ship later this year.
Princess Cruises will host a 7-day themed cruise aboard the 3,660-guest Enchanted Princess from August 31 to September 7. The vessel will sail roundtrip from New York, visiting destinations in Canada and New England along the way.
Joining the sailing will be Jill Whelan (who played Vicki Stubing), Bernie Kopell (Doc), Fred Grandy (Gopher) and Ted Lange (Isaac). Ezra Freeman, the bartender from the reality dating series “The Real Love Boat,” will also be onboard, and the cruise line hinted that more surprise guests will be announced later.

The new themed cruise comes on the heels of the line’s first “The Love Boat” sailing to the Mexican Riviera in February 2022 aboard Majestic Princess. That voyage was a “tremendous success” according to the cruise line.
"We had such a blast connecting with fans on our theme cruise in 2022, so bringing it back in 2024 feels like it was meant to be, especially with the addition of some surprise guests," says Whelan, who serves as “Celebrations Ambassador” for the cruise line. "Sailing with our fans brings us so much joy and this cruise will undoubtedly be a special reunion, taking us back to where it all began—on a Princess Cruise."
The show, which ran from 1977 to 1987, follows passengers and crew members as they search for love at sea. It was filmed aboard multiple Princess Cruises’ ships and is credited with introducing audiences to the concept of modern cruise vacations. More recently, in the fall of 2022, the line’s Regal Princess was featured on “The Real Love Boat” reality dating show on CBS and Paramount+.
Guests who join the upcoming themed sailing can expect meet-and-greets, photo opportunities, cocktail demonstrations, vow renewal ceremonies, Q&As with the cast members, themed decor and more. There will even be “The Love Boat”-themed menus, activities and cocktails.
For guests who want to spend a little extra time with the cast, there’s a “Love Boat VIP Package” that includes an invite to an exclusive cast cocktail party, reserved seating for the cast Q&A, front-of-the-line access for autographs and photos, dinner at the Captain's Table, plus a themed cruise t-shirt and mug.
