UnCruise Adventures has added an Alaska Insider cruise to its lineup of theme cruise offerings for 2018.
The Alaska Insider theme is in conjunction with the Alaska Awakening campaign highlighting the benefits of cruising in Southeast Alaska in spring. Cruises take place in April and May, and feature authors, glaciologists, and bear and salmon experts, nature writers, a historian, ethnobotanist, marine ecologist, as well as cultural heritage guides from Alaska Native Voices.
"We want to bring guests up close with nature, wildlife and all the beauty Alaska offers," said Captain Dan Blanchard, CEO. "The opportunity to have experts on board that have lived, breathed and studied their area of expertise in Alaska is another way to bring our guests closer to the land."
Alaska Insider theme cruises will take place aboard the 74-guest Wilderness Explorer, 60-guest Wilderness Adventurer, the 76-guest Wilderness Discoverer, the 84-guest Safari Endeavour, the 36-guest Safari Explorer and the 86-guest S.S. Legacy.
UnCruise Adventures lineup of theme cruises includes itineraries in Alaska, the Columbia and Snake Rivers, Pacific Northwest (Coastal WA and the San Juan Islands) and Costa Rica and Panama. Themes include marine biology, photography, storytellers, ornithology, craft beer, nostalgic music, wine and wellness.
The line's fleet of boutique yachts and small ships carry 22-86 guests on adventure cruises lasting one week to 15 days. All adventure activities and shore excursions are included.
