Disney Cruise Line raises the curtain on its latest entertainment offering today - "Tangled: The Musical" onboard the Disney Magic. In fact, you can watch a live seek peak of a scene from the show at 11:50 a.m. EST on the Disney Parks Blog.The production features all-new music by Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater.
The new show brings to life on stage the story of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider with animated film-favorite songs like "When Will My Life Begin," "Mother Knows Best," "I've Got a Dream" and "I See the Light." In addition, the creative team has written three new songs for the show.
Also contributing to the adaptation are director Gordon Greenberg, choreographer Connor Gallagher, puppet designer Michael Curry (Disney's "The Lion King" on Broadway) and scenic designer Bradley Kaye (Disney's "Aladdin-A Musical Spectacular").
"Tangled: The Musical" joins "Twice Charmed: An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story" and "Disney Dreams… An Enchanted Classic," featuring a new "Frozen" section, on the Disney Magic. The ship embarks on four-night Bahamian and five-night Western Caribbean sailings from Miami through the new year.
