Looking for a little 2025 travel inspiration? As one year draws to a close and a new one is about to begin, there are inevitably numerous lists from travel brands offering direction on this all-important topic.

Chase Travel, the travel brand from JPMorganChase, entered the mix today with it’s own spin on 2025 travel recommendations.

The travel brand has just published 25 Trips to Take in 2025, its first annual list of top destinations to visit, which was informed by Chase Travel booking trends, as well as insights from in-house travel experts.

So which destinations made the list?

Top recommendations for the year ahead include everything from coastal Vietnam to the Athens Riviera in Greece. Additional locales included on Chase's must-do list include:

  • Antwerp, Belgium, dubbed Europe’s unexpected design darling
  • Bahia, Brazil, where visitors can explore Afro-Brazilian food, music and culture
  • Big Sky, Montana, for those looking to hit the slopes at what could soon be America’s best ski resort
  • Greenland, which offers outdoor adventurers a new frontier
  • Grenada, a location that offers a quintessential Caribbean vacation sans crowds
  • Coastal Vietnam, where travelers can slow down along the country's sparkling coastline
  • Guanacaste, Costa Rica, a destination known for its positive, easygoing outlook that invites travelers to slip off their shoes and sink onto a beach blanket
  • Kenya, where travelers can give back in new ways in the coming year
  • Mallorca, Spain, said to be the new shining star of The Balearics

These are just a snapshot of the 25 locations on the Chase list. The full rundown can be found here.

The same report also identifies some notable trends to be on the lookout for the coming year. They include:

New flights driving discovery: Improved transportation options, such as new game-changing nonstop flights to Marrakech and Greenland, plus an upgraded airport in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, are making remote or previously hard-to-reach destinations more accessible in 2025 and beyond.

Luxury hotel openings: High-end accommodations are opening in new, remote or unexpected destinations such as Six Senses, which recently made its debut in Grenada.

Unique ways of getting around: New cruise hotspots, train travel explorations and lesser-known road trips are providing travelers a fresh perspective on exploration in 2025.

New side to old favorites: Swap Machu Picchu for Peru's Colca Canyon, or skip Miami Beach and explore Little River and its buzzy restaurant scene. For a truly remote getaway, venture to Greenland or Western Australia for rugged outdoor adventures in the coming year.

Emerging European destinations on the rise: The allure of lesser-known European locales like Antwerp, Belgium, and Warsaw, Poland, is growing, especially as these cities are often more budget-friendly. Average travel to Warsaw was approximately $500 cheaper on average than travel to Rome in 20241, according to Chase Travel.

Travelers chasing pop-culture trends: Both Thailand and Seoul, South Korea, are showing an increase in travel for 2025, in part due to buzz in surrounding popular TV series, movies and social media trends.

Celebrating the great outdoors: Destinations such as Kenya and Rwanda are focusing on sustainability with eco-friendly lodges and conservation projects, while closer to home, one U.S. state – Georgia - is hoping to become home to the country’s next national park.

Shift in weekday travel to weekend travel: According to Chase Travel bookings for trips in 2025, Saturdays will be the busiest days to travel next year, a shift from Thursdays being the most crowded in 2024. This holiday season, the busiest travel day is expected to be on Saturday, December 21.

Labor Day Weekend wins as busiest travel time of the year: Over 2023 and 2024, Labor Day weekend has been the most popular weekend to travel, with August 30 and September 1 being the busiest travel days of the year.

Increase in travel for holidays and 2025 travel overall: Chase Travel shows 36% increase in travel for 2025 and 37% increase for the holiday season5 overall when comparing year-over-year.
