Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, is known as the roller coaster capital of the world, and the park announced Wednesday it will be adding another new coaster for the 2016 season.
The new attraction will be called Valravn-named after a supernatural raven in Danish folklore-and will become the world's tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster when it is completed.
The addition of Valravn will help Cedar Point set 10 new world records, including the tallest dive coaster (223 feet), fastest dive coaster (75 miles per hour), longest dive coaster (3,415 feet), most inversions on a dive coaster (three), longest drop on a dive coaster (214 feet), highest inversion on a dive coaster (165 feet) and four other records for the park.
In addition to all the records Valravn will help Cedar Point set next year, the country's second-oldest amusement park will now be able to boast 18 roller coasters, making it a must-visit theme park for any thrill seeker.

One of the wildest changes made to the dive coaster was the implementation of a new train system. With eight passengers spread across three rows, the 24 passengers will be seated in floorless trains, and this seating pattern has never been seen on a dive coaster before.
The Ohio theme park is also making history by being the first to use 3D virtual reality to introduce a new roller coaster. Guests can experience Valravn in virtual reality by downloading the Cedar Point app on their phones.
Cedar Point vice president and general manager Jason McClure released a statement about the addition of the new dive coaster, saying, "The introduction of Valravn is a first for the amusement park industry on many fronts, including the exciting virtual reality experience. For the first time ever, guests are able to take an immersive ride on Valravn before it opens next summer - and the actual experience will be unmatched with the tallest lift hill, fastest speed, longest track and most inversions on a dive coaster, right here at Cedar Point, The Roller Coaster Capital of the World."
