Despite numerous impediments to travel, such as war in the Middle East, rising fuel prices and TSA staffing shortages amid a partial government shutdown, Americans are still very eager to get away this spring.
Leading travel insurance provider Allianz Partners has published its annual Top Spring Break Destinations report, revealing the places spring travelers are headed this year as they look to shake off a brutal winter.
Allianz analyzed more than 1.3 million itineraries and discovered that domestic travel remains strong for spring break 2026. Orlando maintains its top spot, with families being drawn to its many world-class theme parks and warm-weather attractions.
Other warm-weather locales, including Phoenix, Las Vegas and Fort Lauderdale, round out the top four, with New York City falling three places from 2025 to fifth domestically.
The Sunshine State remains a huge draw this time of year, with three other Florida cities making the top 10. Miami ranks sixth, while Fort Myers and Tampa rank seventh and ninth, respectively.
Other top 10 domestic spring break destinations for 2026 include Los Angeles and Honolulu.
