In yet another sign that Los Cabos is ready to welcome visitors back to the destination, growing number of golf courses are announcing openings. Many, in fact, have already opened and are ready for business.

iTravel Cabo, a Los Cabos online guide that regularly publishes updates on Los Cabos' progress toward normalcy, published this roundup of scheduled golf course openings.

Cabo del Sol course - Open

Club Campestre - Open

Puerto Los Cabos course - Open

Los Cabos Golf Resort - Reports no damage to the course. Closed for general cleanup but reopening Oct. 12

Pueblo Bonito - Reports that its Quivira Golf Course sustained only minimal damage and will reopen on Oct. 9 along with their resorts.

The One & Only Palmilla - Although its courses seemed to have sustained minimum damage, the resort issued this statement:

"We have been assessing the full impact of the hurricane in order to determine when the resort will reopen and are currently in the process of rescheduling and canceling reservations with arrival dates on or before Dec. 15, 2014. We expect to know if we will open in time for the December holiday by Oct. 15, 2014 and will provide further updates as they become available. For further inquiries, or assistance with rescheduling future reservations, please call: 866 829 2977 within the U.S. or 954 809 2726 outside of the U.S. Our thoughts are with all of those impacted by Hurricane Odile, including our own team members, their families and loved ones. We are committed to helping swiftly bring tourism back to the area, helping our team members and the community restore their normal lives, and once again welcoming our valued guests back to One&Only Palmilla."

Diamante

Diamante is and will remain closed at least through October. The property will be contacting all members with reservations in October in order to reschedule their next Diamante vacation. Diamante officials expect to have a better idea on the status of the November bookings in the coming few days.

Both golf courses received minimal damage, which included debris, minor erosion and the need for maintenance and repair of some irrigation equipment. Diamante said it is still trying to determine if it will be able to maintain the scheduled December opening of the El Cardonal course, and expects to make a decision early this month.

"In spite of less-than-optimal conditions, we are happy to report that as long as power is restored in the next 10 days, we should be able to reopen Diamante by the first week in November," said a spokesman. "Reopening would include the Dunes Course, the DRC, the existing resort units including the bungalows, and the existing villas."
