From wacky small-town soirees to historical and cultural celebrations, the best things to do in June 2026 have a little something for everyone. And this is all in addition to the FIFA World Cup, which will be played across 11 cities in the United States from coast to coast this month.

Rose Festival - Portland, Oregon
June is the month that Portland’s world-famous floral fiesta comes to a crescendo (runs through June 7), and what a finish it is. Highlights include the Starlight Run, the family-friendly Junior Parade, Fleet Week and the elaborate Grand Floral Parade, each showcasing creative floats and community spirit. Alongside the parades, the CityFair adds classic rides, games and waterfront fun, with this year also seeing a special America 250 fireworks show.
Discover Jazz Festival - Burlington, Vermont
It's time to get down once again as the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival returns for its 44th edition (June 3-7), bringing a citywide celebration of live music to Vermont's lovely lakefront capital. Jason Moran will curate the event and feature sets by artists such as Savion Glover, Chris Dave, Chris Potter, Ruthie Foster, Tank & The Bangas, Mavis Staples and many more across multiple venues.
Running of the Tubs - Hot Springs, Arkansas

Get your Boston summer off to a swell start at the 47th Annual Boston Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival (June 9), bringing back exhilarating racing on the Charles River combined with a colorful celebration of Asian culture. Expect kaleidoscopic dragon boats being powered down the river alongside mouthwatering food, traditional performances and a festive riverside atmosphere.

King Kamehameha Celebration - Honolulu, Hawai'i
Don't miss the 109th King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade (June 13), a colorful island tradition honoring one of Hawaii's most iconic monarchs. Midnight Sun Festival - Fairbanks, Alaska

No, head to Lindsborg on June 20 for its traditional Swedish Midsummer Festival, where the town toasts its deep Scandinavian roots. The Greeley Stampede - Greeley, Colorado
The spirit of the Old West rides back into town during the 104th Greeley Stampede (June 24 - July 5), when this long-running celebration once again fills the town of Greeley with rodeos, concerts and plenty of one-of-a-kind Western flair.
