Fourth of July Celebration - Seward, Nebraska
The Fourth of July festivities in this small Cornhusker State town trace their roots back to 1868 when the local townspeople first gathered on the courthouse square to dig a well, raise a new American flag and deliver patriotic speeches that created a tradition that’s still going strong. Now officially known as Nebraska’s “Fourth of July City,” Seward will once again transform its historic square into a red, white and blue bash and host dozens of special events, including a parade of vintage cars, craft stalls, live music and a community freedom run. The festivities build toward a spectacular fireworks finale (July 4) that will blow you away (in a good way, of course).

As in other years, the highlight will be the legendary Independence Day parade (July 4), where marching bands, drum corps and patriotic floats will fill streets lined with flag-waving crowds.
